TeeDay – Purple Power

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

I’ll come right out and say it – I DIG PURPLE TEES! Most folks treat purple like an old, mangy dog but I think it’s a pretty darn awesome color. So for this installment of TeeDay, I’m going to highlight purple tees.

…Well I’m Just As Confused As You Are Availble at Threadless

Madonna In The Ghetto Available at Turtlehead

Is $28 for a tee a bit steep? Yes. Is $28 for this incredibly iconic masterpiece a bit steep? Hellz no. I dig the color palette against the red tee and the beauty and freshness of the design is just perfect. Kudos Turtlehead!

Awesomeness Abounds – Digitial Arts Interview + Two TeeDay Tees

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

It’s been a hot minute since my last TeeDay post but with a newborn in the house, commissioned work to be done and the usual madness of the holidays, I hope you can understand my absence. Let’s get on with the show, shall we?

Digital Arts Interview

We’ll get to the shirts in a minute but first I’d like to toot my own horn. I’ve been featured/quoted in a Digital Arts article about designing tees! Needless to say, I’m excited and flattered to be in the company of some amazing designers (Matheus Lopes Castro aka Mathiole, Matt Lyon aka C86 and Kerry Roper). The reporter, Graeme Aymer, solidly covered the numerous nuances of the tee design process. I can’t wait to see the full printed version featuring sample works of yours truly and other designers. I was nervous about doing a phone interview with Graeme but he cherry picked some nice quotes and I’m thrilled to have been included in the article. Thanks Graeme!

TeeDay – Hot Dog High 5

I don’t care what parts of what animals are in hot dogs. I love hot dogs. Summer, winter, whenever, wherever. Hot dogs are delicious and until I tour a hot dog factory and see the insanity for myself, my mind and heart won’t waiver. That being said, I’m seriously considering shelling out the $28 for this masterpiece.

TeeDay – Rocket Science

I’ve been looking for a good home for this design for awhile now and thankfully, the good folks at Crazy Dog T-Shirts have printed Rocket Science. If you’re into punny/nerdy/funny tees, this is a no-brainer buy. Get it today for a measly $17!

TeeDay – Song Bird

Friday, November 20th, 2009

Well, well what do we have here? Another self-promoting blog post? Why yes indeed – it’s my blog and I’ll post what I want on it. Tongue in cheekiness aside, I’m really excited about my latest print, Song Bird.

Song Bird Available at Tilteed

Song Bird is a found art collage that I designed awhile back but it’s finally found a home at Tilteed. If you don’t know about Tilteed, you should really check out their site. Even though it’s a new site, they’ve already got a great collection of tees. They do a week long pre-order where the newest shirt is only $12. After that the cost bumps up to $18 which, in my humble opinion, is still pretty reasonable for an awesome tee like Song Bird.

TeeDay – I Hate T-Shirts

I Hate T-Shirts Available at Threadless

Huzzah! Today’s selection is a groundbreaking collaboration that I was fortunate enough to work on with my good friend Evan Ferstenfeld (half of the dynamic duo that runs Made With Awesome). Evan has a great write-up of the story behind the design here, so rather than pontificating on the rad factor of this tee, you should check out what he’s got to say about it. Go ahead and bust open that recession piggy bank and shell out the $25 for this beauty.

TeeDay – Silly Shirt

Friday, November 6th, 2009

Sily Shirt Available at Loiter

Disclaimer: the following blog post is complete and total self-promotion. If you dig punny type tees, then this LBB masterpiece is right up your alley. Don’t like it in red? That’s okay because Loiter prints their tees, long sleeves and hoodies in a wide variety of colors! Get your Silly Shirt starting at $18. Cheers!

TeeDay – Global View

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

Global View Available at Simply Complicated

Grant Tucker is grinding out some really great tees at Simply Complicated. Word on the street is that Jay-Z (you know, that super famous, insanely talented rapper dude), is a big fan of SC’s tees. Hey, if it’s good enough for the Jigga Man, it’s good enough for the world. $23 and you’ll be rollin’ like a P-I-M-P.

TeeDay – In Case of Zombies

In Case of Zombies Available at Threadless

Keeping in line with the Halloween hype, today’s TeeDay selection is the Threadless classic, In Case of Zombies. Legendary teemeister Olly Moss provides us with numerous tips on how to survive the impending zombie apocalypse. Did I mention it’s on sale for just $12?

TeeDay – Full Moon

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

Full Moon Available at Teextile

The Halloween blitz is upon us! Full Moon, available for just this week at Teextile, is very subtle but very bad ass. You’d be batty not to pick this up for $15. Bats…get it…see what I did there?
