TeeDay – Between The Eyes

Between The Eyes Available at Threadless

Threadless usually doesn’t reprint tees from their Select line but just last week, they reprinted several Select tees including Between The Eyes by Ron Lews. The subtle skulls mixed with the 80′s feelgood shades makes this a pretty bad ass tee. If you’ve got $24 to spare, pick it up.

T-Shirt Tuesday – Michael Jackson Edition

Friday, June 26th, 2009

Say what you will about Michael Jackson – and there’s certainly a lot to say – the one honest to God truth about the man is that he made some really incredible music. Name one artist in the 20th century who weaved the magic of music and cinema together like MJ did with Thriller. While you’re racking your brain trying to come up with an answer (hint: don’t waste your time, no one comes within a country mile), here’s a handful of MJ related tees for your viewing/wearing pleasure. JAM ON!

The Iller available at Mini Cassette

I really dig the minimalist approach to this. As previously mentioned, Thriller was (is!) so huge, it’s tough to pass this one up. $22

RIP Michael Jackson available at Print Liberation

One know a Print Liberation print when you see it and this MJ memorial tee is no exception. At only $16, this is a steal.

Eating Brains, Throwing Shapes available at Threadless

Aled Lewis (aka Fatheed) knocked it out of the park with this tee. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a good zombie tee? Eating Brains, Throwing Shapes is sold out in most sizes right now but I think Threadless might be compelled to reprint it given yesterday’s events.

Dance Off! available at Dutch Southern

Last but not least is a tee from yours truly. MJ is joined by Teen Wolf and Young Frankenstein for a showdown of epic proportions. I own a copy of this and I assure you, it looks dead sexy. $18? Deal!

T-Shirt Tuesday (Day late)

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

I know that it’s Wednesday. Do you actually expect me to be punctual with my blog posts?

Cold War Vet at headlineshirts

I love the the whole vibe going on here. Big print, vintage feel and a monkey astronaut engaging in unhealthy activities. What else could you ask for, people! At $20, this is a solid guy.

DaVinci’s Mario

This reminds me of Woot’s To The Top in the Style of DaVinci but I thought that was a great tee so this one’s a no-brainer. $20 is a reasonable price for the Mario fans out there.

TIN TINTIN TINTINTIN TIN TIN at Threadless

Threadless definitely doesn’t need my help in the tee pimping department, but I’m happy to do so anyway. Monsieur Pimpant’s has an awesome style and it’s nice to see this design get it’s due. $18? Hellz yes.

If that’s not enough t-shirt madness for you, I’ve got two subs up for voting at Loiter. Welcome to the Jungle and Hey McFly! Buzz Off! are choc filled with pop culture goodness. Also, I’ve got an entry into Woot’s music derby. Song Bird will only be up for voting until tomorrow afternoon so fly over to Woot and vote for it if you dig it.

Pick up my premiere Threadless type tee print!

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

My dad has a saying that while I hated as a little kid, I’ve grown to appreciate as I’ve grown up.

“Patience is a virtue”

It turns out that my dad was right all along. Almost 3 years after I joined the awesome tee community known as Threadless, I’ve finally been printed. My slogan, “The definition of suspense is…” is up for sale for just $15! The tee looks great and I’m really happy about the opportunity.

So head on over to Threadless and pick up a copy! Or else…

T-Shirt Tuesday

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

Buckle your seat belt, party people. Today’s post features three tasty tees for your wearing pleasure.

I Hate Monday’s from Lazy Oaf

I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment expressed here. Mondays = suck factor of 10.

Called For Help from Glennz Tees

Glennz certainly doesn’t need my help in promoting his world famous tees but mashing up one of my favorite movies with one of the all-time great video games deserves a little shout out.

If history repeats itself, I’m totally getting a dinosaur from Threadless

Love the slogan and I love the custom type by Ross Zeitz. This tee shall be mine. Oh yes, it shall.

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

There’s a hoarde of awesome tees this week so let’s get to it!

Useless to Pretend from Epic Weave

Usless to PretendGreat style, slightly emo but still clever concept and awesome lettering. $15.

The Meaning of Life from Threadless

The Meaning of Life

How dare Aled Lewis (aka Fatheed) withhold such important, life changing information from the world! $18.

Kiss Me, I’m Irish from HaHa Press

Kiss Me, I'm Irish

Having Irish blood and a fondness for type tees, this tee is A+ in my book. It’s a limited edition print so get yours before they’re gone. $20.

Haiku Wednesday

lord, keep me humble,
keep me hungry, keep me safe,
keep me on the path.

T-Shirt T(hurs)uesday

Delinquent as ever, T-Shirt Tuesday is back!

First up is Royal Bluff by Lehel Kovacs.

Between the clever concept and Lehel’s awesome style, it’s no wonder Threadless selected this for print.

Don’t Stop Believin’ (found via Hide Your Arms) by 2K Shirts is a mighty fine type tee.

I can’t help but recall the glorious ending of The Sopranos with Journey blasting in the background when I see this tee. Good stuff.

Lastly, today’s offering from shirt.woot.com is a great one. One Flew Out Of The Cuckoo Clock by Robbie Lee looks dead sexy on the tee and it’s one hell of an illustration to boot. Amazing halftone shading, great perspective and

Amazing halftone shading, great perspective and a clever concept all rolled into one nice tee. Go get it while it’s still $10!

On a completely different, stay tuned to the LBB blog as I’ll be announcing some very cool projects and offering up a smattering of free brushes, textures, doodads and whatnots. Yay!

T-Shirt Tuesday

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

The League of Cliche Evil Super-Villains by Joshua Kemble is a classic combination of good old fashioned grid layout and a “why in the hell didn’t i think of that” concept. It’s available in adult and kid sizes to boot. Win win.

Holy Schnikes! I’ve Won a Bestee!

Huzzah! The good folks @ Threadless have selected me as the Blogger of the Year for 2008. I’m honored and humbled to be singled out from a very large group of really amazing people. Thanks Threadless and double thanks to all of my fellow bloggers who make Threadless such an awesome place!
